For exploring the local forest and Lasgarn quarry, this is the bus stop for you. Alternatively there is some nearby parking available. Following the dirt track into the woods will bring you up a rather steep incline to the older part of the forest. from here you can travel north along the old quarry tram route, with plenty of the original track anchors still in the path. Heading south you will come to the spectacular Lasgarn Quarry, with stunning views and it's own small cave. The cave is tight and unworn, thus making it a rather sharp experience. When visiting caves always consult local caving clubs such as Cwmbran CC for expert advice , guides and appropriate gear.
